When it comes to traveling you want to have the best experience possible.  In the modern world that often comes down to having the right apps.  We wanted to make sure that you were prepared for all of your traveling in 2017.  Use this list to help you get all of the apps you need for traveling.

TripIt

TripIt is the app that you need to plan and organize all of your travel.  No matter what you need to plan for your travel TripIt can handle it.  It can even start your plans without you needing to do a thing.  TripIt can be synced with your email and will pull all of the travel information for trips and start to piece the trip together for you.  All you need to do is fill in the details.  From up-to-date flight information to rental cars, hotels, and meetings, everything can be tracked for both business travelers and personal travelers.

Google Trips

Recently Google created a competitor for TripIt known as Google Trips.  This app allows you to put together everything for your trip.  It does more than that, though.  It makes suggestions and provides information about various cities around the world.  One of the best parts of the app is that you can get everything, including suggestions, offline.

PackPoint

Ever had trouble thinking what you need to pack?  PackPoint aims to help travelers with that.  You input the information that you have about your trip, such as your destination, purpose of travel, potential plans, and more.  From there PackPoint uses that information and your profile to give you suggestions on what you need to bring with you.

App In The Air

App In The Air is everything that customer service at the airport should be.  It is a personal assistant for your trips to the airport.  App In The Air will help you by updating you on your flight, giving you wait times, gate changes, and more.  With a big database of airports, it can also give you in airport tips to help you enjoy your time and get where you want to go.

CityMaps2Go

Whenever you are traveling you run the chance of incurring roaming charges and you never know where and when there will be WiFi.  CityMaps2Go is your solution for this.  With CityMaps2Go you will have offline maps for your travels available when you need them.  For major cities, you will also have city guides to help you better navigate and enjoy.  Don’t forget the fact that it also has tips from locals.

Cool Cousin

You probably have heard of people having cool cousins that are able to show them around town.  This app works to recreate that for everyone.  Cool Cousin provides curated maps for cities that you might be visiting.  Each city is curated by real locals.  With Cool Cousin, you can see the different scenes of the city, and enjoy an experience that most visitors don’t get to see.  If you don’t find a suggestion that meets your needs you can message curators (cousins) to give you personal suggestions.

Google Translate

If you are traveling to a place that speaks another language there is always the chance that you will run into words that you don’t know.  Google Translate helps you by providing you with translations in both directions for almost every language out there.  It will also show you the most common alternatives to the word if there are common alternatives.  Besides just typing words in you can say words or take pictures to have them translated.

Duolingo

For those that are traveling to countries where they speak another language and you want to actually feel like you belong, download Duolingo.  Duolingo is a language learning app that is designed to be easy to use.  The app uses different categories, analysis of learning, and more to help make sure that you memorize words.  It also uses your phone or tablet’s microphone to make sure you know how to pronounciate and speak the language.

ICE

You don’t want it to happen but sometimes you can’t prevent an emergency from happening while you travel.  This is what ICE is designed to help with.  ICE stands for In Case of Emergency.  The app is designed to store all of your emergency information so first responders, doctors, friends, and family all know what help to provide.  Included in this information is: emergency contacts, allergies, conditions, medications, insurance, and ID.
