Thinking of Riding in a Limo? Here are Some Etiquette Tips You Should Know

What’s not to love about riding in a limo? They’re one of the best things about events, and that can span from birthdays to anniversaries, weddings to honeymoons, proms to company parties, and even just a sweet night out on the town. Here at our New York limousine service, we’ll be more than happy to show you a good time on the road, but we’ll also appreciate it if you could adhere to a few ground rules when it comes to limousine etiquette.

Inform on the Number of Passengers

We have various types of transportation (or limos) available for hire, so it’ll be great if you could let us know the number of passengers in advance. Of course, we do understand that there might be last-minute add-ons.

Understand How to Enter and Exit

You might be under the assumption that getting in and out of a limo is the same as any other kind of vehicle, but you’ll be wrong. It’s actually pretty simple once you get the hang of it, so we’ve prepared a basic step-by-step guide that you can easily get used to:

  • Allow the chauffeur to open the door for you
  • Sit down in the first empty seat
  • Swing your legs in
  • Proceed to scoot or move along the seats till you reach the one you want
  • When exiting, wait for the chauffeur to open the door, then swing your legs out and proceed to stand up

Take Care of the Limo

Our limos are regularly maintained and kept in good condition, and we’re always proud to share them with our customers. If you’re bringing your own personal belongings into the limo, be sure to take them with you when you leave. You can also do us a favor by taking out any trash with you as you exit.

Get Too Rowdy

Enjoying your ride with us is something we insist on but do remember that there are certain limits that you should not cross since everyone’s safety (including the chauffeur) is involved. If alcohol is involved, remember to refrain from excessive rowdiness or drunkenness.

Abuse Your Chauffeur

Our New York chauffeurs are some of the best around, and they’ll be more than happy to accommodate your needs and wants, as long as they’re within a reasonable and non-illegal range. We would also appreciate it if you would withhold from cursing, shouting at, or physically fighting with our chauffeurs should an issue arise. Instead, you can always alert our limo service and we’ll see to your concerns as promptly as possible.

If you can’t wait to have an enjoyable time with our New York limo service, just give us a call or book our services online now. At MTC Limousine, we use our experience, commitment and focus on quality, to provide the finest chauffeured ground transportation services throughout the world.
